Life in Oklahoma

Anthony and his brother’s went fishing early in the morning and came back around lunch time with all their crappie. Showing off their catches!

This was a very spontaneous moment at the Schmidt household. I was in their formal living room uploading pictures or something. Taylor came in to play on the piano then the other boys joined in. They took turns playing (although Anthony only knew one song) and singing along as well. Then Noah and Anthony started playing Chop Sticks – it was hilarious!

My great grandparents were the first couple married in this new Catholic church at Sacred Heart in Konawa, OK back in the beginning of the 1900s. I had my mom take us there to see some of my families history (some of the relatives are buried there) and we walked around. It was so peaceful.

And my mom down at the old home pictured above.

Kasey & Keely Seniors – Small Town Oklahoma

Kasey & Keely are about to start their senior year in my husband’s small home town. They are fun siblings and were up for just about anything I asked including sitting in a field (I check for snakes and other creatures before Keely sat down!) and jumping. We even found some “urban” in this one stop sign town Thank you both for being great subjects!

Kayla’s Senior Pictures – Small Town Oklahoma

I met up with Kayla this morning at their gorgeous home in the Oklahoma country. Kayla is my first senior – she loves to garden with her mother, works at a local boutique and loves horses. We tried to capture that in the pictures and I sure hope I did! T Enjoy your sneak preview!

I love her laugh here – its genuine and captures her personality.

I love these! Especially the one with her horse. I never thought about having you come out to the barn in Franklin to do pictures of Shadow and me… we should talk about that! Or are you moving too soon?

You sure did a great job with all your seniors, I love the one with the horse. Such a great shot!

Oklahoma

We’ve made it to Oklahoma. We’re relaxing with family – lot of time spent by my parents pool. On our way into Oklahoma we stopped in Henryetta to switch drivers, bathroom and fill up on gas. There was a BBQ place there and this little “family” of pigs was there. Couldn’t pass up on the opportunity.

My 14 year old brother in law is working one of the firework stands in their little town. We stopped by to see him hard at work (with his ipod and Nintendo DS).

Anna & Margaret – One Year Nashville, TN

These girls wake up early so I got there around 7:30 in the morning. It was a perfect morning, in the 60s. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We went over to the Catholic church right down the street to get these. These girls turn one next week, so they got dressed in their best to celebrate. Katie, here is your sneak peek!

This one makes me chuckle because they didn’t really want to be by each other during the entire session. We went back to their home and its almost like the door is dividing them.
