mara | new york city maternity photographer

There is something beautiful and special about a pregnant woman. I love getting to spend a day documenting this wonderful time in a their lives. I met up with this gorgeous mother-to-be in Hoboken on Sunday afternoon. And there is no doubt she is going to be a wonderful mother to this little one. She has some major self-control as she is the only person that knows the sex of the child! Her husband didn’t want to find out but she was interested. I’m impressed that she has kept it in all this time! Mara enjoy your sneak peek.

What a gorgeous mom to be, and I have to say I would have blurted out the sex that’s for sure. Way to go keeping that secret!

What a cute mom-to-be! I love the first one.

isabelle and addy | princeton child photographer

Friday late afternoon I met up with another seminary family near the D&R canal to take some 6 month photos of little Isabelle. I couldn’t resist snapping a few of big sister Addy too. Both of these girls have gorgeous eyes and beautiful smiles. Thanks Heather & Todd for playing along!

I asked Addy to sit in the leaves for a few photos and she found two “nuts” (you can see one in her hand there). The elation and joy she got from that continues to make me smile. And those acorns were huge too!

Miss Isabelle, the happiest baby I’ve ever seen.

christmas photos | princeton family photographer

Something spooky is going on, my last three sessions have been with families that have last names starting with the letter S. This is the last of the three and nothing short of beautiful. Miss K. is in love with princesses and such a great big sister. She’s the only one able to get Miss J. to smile. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I’m totally in love with this photo.

five on friday (or saturday) | princeton child photographer

I had every intent of posting this yesterday but time slipped away and I wasn’t able to finish it. A day late, but here we go!

1. I want to learn to knit & crochet. Anyone in the Mercer County area know how and want to teach me? We can trade services if interested. Email me please!

2. I received half the prints going up at Lawrence OB/GYN yesterday. It was like Christmas morning when I saw that package waiting for me (all 28 pounds!). I am very happy with the images I selected and once they go up, I will take photos, I promise!

3. The weather is telling me that winter is here and I do.not.like.it. Just last weekend I got out my winter clothes but I refuse to wear them. The winter coats are still in the closet. I’m in denial. I am not looking forward to the winter months. It means less time spent outside and interacting with people. Its gonna be a long few months!

4. There is a family here at CRW that has an infant in the hospital. They aren’t getting answers for what is the problem and I think if you could keep them in your thoughts and prayers I know they appreciate it. You can read about their journey at here.

5. Rob Thomas will be doing three shows in NYC this coming week and I’m bummed I didn’t get tickets to see any of them. I will be on the lookout all week to see if I can find any available. If you know of someone who has tickets and are willing to sell, please let me know!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Looking forward to seeing your prints up! It’s officially winter here too I think. Time to start scraping the windshield every morning. ๐Ÿ™

amy’s baby shower | princeton maternity photographer

Last weekend I attended Amy’s baby shower. She is having a girl (if you can’t tell by the color scheme) and I cannot be more excited for her! We are going to do a newborn session for sure, and hopefully maternity if it works out. Her husband works at Lawrenceville School and some fellow spouses threw the shower for her. It was a perfect day filled with love, laughter, and friends. Those mini cupcakes, yeah they were homemade by one of the hostesses and they were a-mazing.

ou/texas

I cannot believe I did not blog this right after but such is life! I am finally here to share our trip to Dallas October 16-18th. We flew down there for the short weekend, celebrating 7 years together. Its really surreal to go back to where we first meet.

Here are a few photos from the Texas State Fair and the game (obviously everything is fried there, including butter, moon pies, s’mores, coke, lattes, etc. grosses me out!). Anthony & my dad sat together in the upper deck while my mom and I were on the lower part behind the band (about 30 rows up). During half time we left to grab a fresh, hot, incredibly amazing corny dog. No photos of the corny dog to tempt all my readers!

Bummer that Bradford re-injured his shoulder and we lost but we enjoyed going back “home” even for a short period of time.
