chocolate delight | central jersey photographer

This recipe is a favorite in our household. It’s my brother’s all-time fav (he gets it made every year for his birthday and on other special occasions). This past week we had dinner over at our neighbors and we were asked to bring dessert. I do dessert pretty much any time we have a gathering of sorts (book club, dinners, cookouts, etc.), and I was trying to figure out what I haven’t made yet in our two years in New Jersey. This was the winner! I ended up half-ing the recipe because I didn’t want to have an entire pan in our frig!

Feel free to download the recipe!

Mmmmm!!!!!!! That looks SO YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!

We love this at our house too, it’s a family favorite at Thanksgiving. But we call it “Mississippi Mud Pie” and add mini choc. chips on top of it. Ok, now your picture is making me want to go and make some of this…I think I can eat that entire sized dish by myself! LOL

Shey - August 14, 2010 - 12:53 am

um….so when will you be bringing this by my place for dessert? 😉 YUM!!!!!

Becky Anderson - August 18, 2010 - 9:06 am

a standard in our house too growing up…we called it chocolate lush. My mom also made a lemon version but it just wasn’t as good.

away for the week

I will be in Oklahoma from August 10th – 16th. My internet time will be limited as I’ll be soaking up rays by my parents pool, playing with our nephews, visiting the University of Oklahoma’s campus including my sorority alumni skit night, learning to teach ZUMBA to kids, snuggling and photographing baby Anthony and his beautiful parents, and a few other sessions. I will make a concerted effort to return emails and phone calls in a timely manner, but definitely by Tuesday August 17th.

If you are in Oklahoma and want a session, I still have two spots open while I’m there! Email me to get the details!

Can I say how much I’m in love with my macro lens? It helps that we get to pick fresh flowers weekly at our CSA farm share. These first two are from the farm.

These next three are from an evening walking along the D&R Canal in Griggstown. I met up with fellow photographer Holly to think outside the box and shoot something different than we both normally do. It was just what I needed it!

photographer gtg | princeton photography

Last night I spent part of my evening with fellow photographers from all over the country, but mainly from NJ/NY area. It was a nice meet + greet held in Cranbury by Heather, our facilitator. We will be gathering the first Tuesday of the month from here on out. If you want to get on the list, email me and I’ll pass along your info to Heather.

Lots of laughter throughout the evening!

Our hostess and her lovely husband Jamie.

rachel | central jersey photography

I will be photographing Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah in Hunter, New York over Labor Day weekend. We met up yesterday evening to get some photos of just her. She is a beautiful young lady and I’m so glad that I will be apart of her celebration.

Boy can she work the camera!

Seriously loved the evening sun.

I got some laughs out of her when I asked her to be serious and after I told her she looked beautiful.

You’ve got to be kidding me on this one! Hello gorgeous!!

Thanks again Rachel and Laurel for this fun photo shoot!
