The nor’easter that blew through last weekend almost had us rescheduling but luckily Sunday was a much calmer, blistery morning.

I always recommend women wear something that will make them feel beautiful (we all know that a wardrobe can either make or break how you feel!). And these sisters did just that. I love the colors on their sweaters and the scarves. Simple yet making a statement!

This shot melts my heart – love seeing a grandma proud of her grandchild.

I love a good pouty lip and Mr. Mason had it down pat!

home ec projects | kim learns to sew

I haven’t had much time to sew lately but I was able to get these items finished a little bit ago and wanted to share. As I mentioned in this post, it seems lots of people are having babies in our community. I love the fabric on this bib/burp cloth and it fit with the ladies little girl to join CRW.

Official home ec project – working with a zipper and doubling up fabric. I will be honest, either we had some awesome instructions or zippers just always get a bad wrap. I had no trouble working with it. I do have to say that I will probably end up using this for a makeup bag instead of a pencil case!

Great work! I love your fabric choices for the projects. I think the fabric you used for the zippered pencil case is the same fabric I have saved for the box tutorial. Yay!

I will be honest – fall has not always been my favorite time of the year. As I grow older and more sophisticated (HA!), this is slowly changing. Perhaps it’s also because we live in an incredibly beautiful part of the country. Here are a few photos I have grabbed while on location for shoots that I wanted to share. Enjoy!

Abbie is celebrating a birthday very soon (the big numero uno!). During the session I found out that she loves cheerios (what child doesn’t, right!?!?!), books, is mesmerized by bubbles, has four front teeth, doesn’t mind sitting in a chair or on the ground, adores her mommy and daddy, and if she knows something is on her head she’ll pull it off! Happy early birthday Abbie!

This chair was an estate sale find ($8!!!) that I sanded and spray painted. I knew the minute I got it I wanted to use it for this session in an open field. I’m so glad that Abbie didn’t mind sitting either!

the birthday girl | west windsor family photographer

When I first met Ms. Calista, she was a shy almost-2 year old that loved her goldfish. A year later and she still has “Dory” (although it may be another generation fish, but no toddler needs to know that!) and loves princesses. When I asked her which one is her favorite, I didn’t get a clear response, but her eyes lit up when I mentioned Cinderella. What little girl doesn’t love Cinderella!?!?

What a good looking family this is!

Calista has one of the most infectious smiles I’ve ever seen – gotta love the dimples!

family session on the canal | princeton family photographer

Jalen and Elise have gorgeous eyes and smiles. When we sat down to take this photo, I was doting on them about their looks. Jalen precedes to tell me that God gave him that smile. It was the funniest thing ever cause I know his parents are some of the most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. He will either be a lady’s man or a comedian (or both!)

I love working with twins, especially when they are at the age to tell you who is older. It never fails that the older one will tell you he/she is older (even when not asked!). In this case its Jalen, so I put Elise first! 🙂
