It was the most perfect morning at Community Park North in Princeton for a family session – the weather was gorgeous and not too hot/rainy for us! Ellie was celebrating her 3rd birthday and mom/dad felt it was finally time to brave family photos after her 11 month shoot. I’m so glad we were able to connect and capture this precious time in their lives!
Another sweet newborn session to be shared. My favorite thing about photographing newborns is being able to snuggle them (ironically it somehow keeps the baby fever down for me!) and take in that new baby smell. Karis was so adorable during our session, even if she didn’t want to sleep on the beanbag. She needs noise and chaos to sleep (as you can see below with her siblings!) which we learned a little too late. But that eye contact is killer and a “smile” in the second just melts my heart!
Sofia is an amazing big sister and the fact that she now has a sister makes it even more special! (I’m not sure when S lost that front tooth but it makes me grin to see her putting that tongue through it – there were many years when I had a gap in the front and I did the same thing!)
Last September, Hannah and gang graced the blog for the millionth time! 🙂 Today she is on her announcing some exciting news – she’s going to be a big sister this fall. I am beyond excited to meet the newest addition to the family!
Another beautiful set of pictures! Thanks so much for sharing them!
6 years ago this month, we uprooted our lives in Nashville to move to Princeton for Anthony to pursue a PhD in Church History. 6 years ago, we met another couple that did the same thing from Boston. It didn’t take long for the 4 of us to come together, as we were in the exact same boat. It helped that Jason and Anthony were in the same program. There were lots of dinners, walks around the block, lunch dates, and more in these 6 years. I’m saddened/elated as I write this post that they have moved to greener pastures (aka Jason got his dream job at Arizona State!!) while we finish up another year and keep our fingers crossed for our dream job to come!
I mentioned on this photo that from the moment I meet Keeley she talked about starting a family, and I knew that her day would come and she would be a fabulous mother. Her day is finally here with the birth of Julia! It was such a pleasure and honor to get to photograph a child that is beyond loved on her 5th day of life.
These precious little girls have made multiple appearances on the blog over the years and I love that we were able to capture them in true sister fashion once again! There is something magical about an open field, frilly dresses, and the sun shining through the trees to really make a photo session!
Mr. Duck of course was in all photos of precious C. He goes everywhere and it’s only fitting that he gets in on the action too!
Danielle and I go back to the summer before we headed off to the big bad world of college living. She and I were co-counselors at Camp Takatoka near Tulsa, Oklahoma that summer of 2001. We were carefree and living the life of changing little people’s lives on a daily basis. Her friendship has meant the world to me from the moment we were surviving staff training together. It was back in 2009 when Sam came into the world and I made my way down to DC to take his newborn photos. We came full circle when we were able to connect again in Oklahoma for family photos! It was fun to play catch up, enjoy a very serene park full of ducks, see how much Sam has grown/meet Caroline, and welcome a thunderstorm too! Thanks Danielle for your friendship and sharing your beautiful family with me!! XOXO.
If you follow me on Facebook, you may have noticed that I’m on a tad of a B&W kick. It just felt right to show all these images in B&W on my blog to carry along the theme!
What a beautiful family!! These are beautiful and full of such joy and happiness. Love!
