I’ve been waiting to share most of my fall sessions anticipating that my clients would be sending out holiday cards. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise for their friends+family! So be prepared to see some beautiful sessions coming up.

It took us many tries to get this session to take place, between both of our travel schedules in October + the weather. The Tuesday evening that worked out for us ended up being one of the muggiest, warmest fall days I can remember. Luckily you cannot tell by how flawless they are! It’s no secret that I love twins, especially when I get toĀ capture their sweet personalities with my camera!

I will eat you up, I love you so.

Back to sharing some travels. In October, Anthony presented at a conference held by the Harvard Divinity School. We drove up for a quick weekend away during one of the last beautiful weekend’s of fall foliage. We stayed in Cambridge, near Mount Auburn Cemetery, which has unbelievable hills, trees, and landscape. It was the perfect spot to visit before we made our way back to Princeton!

I have a few other images from this session I want to share but alas they will be on their Christmas card, so I’m trying to have restraint sharing here. šŸ™‚ I love fall in New Jersey with all the beautiful colors appearing. Mom wanted to showcase this, with it being the families first year in the area. She mentioned a tucked away location in Skillman that was PERFECTION.

When it rains the morning of your family photo session, things will end up being a little wild. Luckily this sweet family went with the flow, meeting me on the campus of Princeton University to capture the fleeting childhood moments. Carrie + I worked together a few weeks before the session on clothing options, for them to look seamlessly put together without being matchy. I think we nailed it once again this year. I love the pop of yellow in the pants + the scarf, the houndstooth pattern, just everything about it makes my heart sing!

Last week, I sent Carrie the slideshow of all her photos. She ended up watching it at least 5 times, every time emailing me her thoughts. Seriously the best compliment I have ever received: “you made me love my family more.” That’s what I aim to do folks, make you fall in love with your family!!

lifestyle newborn | skillman newborn photographer

The moment I walked into the door, Liam loudly proclaimed that he does not like getting his picture taken. Then he wouldn’t stop talking. This guy did a complete switch from the other interactions he + I have had over the years, making me work every inch of the way. I think the switch had everything to do with us being in *his* home. He was comfortable. Then he + I became instant BFF’s, he naming off every kind of truck in a book, showing off his room, his new baby sister, + then not wanting to leave for school once we were finished. I absolutely love that we finally made a connection!!

The family did not find out the sex of baby, though Christine was hoping for a little girl. She got exactly what she wanted – the most preciously sweet girl. I love that when I showed up for our in-home lifestyle newborn session, we were able to show off a bit of femininity that was vastly different from Liam’s newborn session!

IĀ love these images as much as I love seeing this family grow. Enjoy friends!

family of five | princeton family photographer

This is another family that I simply adore. Both of our families moved into the area at the same time for grad school – we’ve been on this journey every step of the way.Ā We are both in the same boat as I write this, figuring out what the future looks like. It’s scary but luckily neither of us are alone!! With this being the last year in Princeton for them, Janel + I thought it would be fitting to do their photos on the campus of Princeton Seminary. It was perfect with the weather cooperating after a reschedule the week before due to rain. Thanks again guys for allowing me to capture your sweet family!
