A few weeks back, I visited this precious family (WITH TWINS, FRIENDS!!!!) at their home in Princeton for a fun, playful photo session. When I chat with any client before our session together, I mention having one statement outfit. Caitlyn’s dress was 100% this (she picked it out!). I love how Judy pulled together everyone’s outfits around C’s dress to make it coordinate without being match-y. Y’all, I’ve mentioned it time and time again, but in home lifestyle newborn photo sessions are my FAVORITE!! (so much so it brings out the Okie in me, y’all!) I’m obsessed with Jaynie+Steve already but this little guy is a rockstar. I mean – check out that full head of hair! Jaynie’s decorating style is a mix of mid-century +modern, which fit well into the simplistic photo shoot for Mr. Jacob’s modeling debut (and after writing that sentence, I realize you barely see all the lovely decorating!!)

engagement at the shore | long branch photographer

Without fail, when this family + I get together for photos, the weather is always wild, either rainy/cold or windy! We thought doing an engagement session in May that we wouldn’t have any issues – HA! we were wrong. It was crazy windy being right by the ocean. No matter what is thrown at them, Kim + Jeremy take it in stride with laughter always! I love that I’ve been able to document their lives for the past 3+ years, to see Emma grow into a funny, independent, curious, sassy toddler.

June was a great month for photographing outdoor sessions – the weather never got too hot + it wasn’t that humid. I remember last summer spending time with families where we were all drenched by the end + kids were uber cranky! Luckily for Robin, Eddie + Aaro, we had an absolutely gorgeous summer evening on the Princeton University campus. These three make it look effortlessly + flawlessly – even with it being the first time to have professional photos taken!!

Lifestyle newborn photo sessions are quickly becoming my favorite sessions. Mr. Jackson is such a good big brother + possibly wanted all the attention. It helps…or did it…that I started photographing him by himself. That ended up being a reward for listening – to get another photo “all by himself”. It was the sweetest thing ever!

wide open spaces | princeton phototographer

This sweet couple is tying the knot next May – I’m honored that I was able to capture these fun, giddy, exciting moments after Steve proposed + then I’ll be there to see them say I do too! This isn’t a normal thing for me, to photograph a wedding, but Lauren’s glowing email made me say yes!

I love how natural the two of them already are in front of the camera. I’m obsessed with open fields (this is one of my favorite spots as of late!) + sunsets. A killer combination with this gorgeous couple!
